Poolside Fun!

Last week the temperatures were in the mid-90's, so to beat the heat the kids played in the pool in a shady spot of the church yard. Evelyn helped fill up the pool with the garden hose. She thought that was a real treat. We have well water so the water is always very cold when you first fill up the pool. While they waited for the pool water to warm up in the sun, they got to cool off with some Popsicles in the shade of the front porch. Summer would not be the same without Popsicles!! They were pretty busy sloshing around in the pool for a long time, playing with buckets, watering cans and boats. Somehow its more fun to play in water outside than it is to have a bath inside (maybe because a mean mommy keeps insisting that the water stay in the tub). Evelyn and Dominic helped water the flowers at the front of the house, too. The flowers have recovered nicely from that drowning. ;) Dominic did a good job but he didn't like to get sprayed by the hose, which happened often enough! He thought it was more fun to spray his sister and for once his "brotherly love" was well received - she had as much fun as he did.
