Warm. Almost too soft in its fresh warmth to cut. Sometimes with honey.
I usually make my bread batches 4 loaves at a time. Unfortunately, usually one (or more) gets snarfed down within the first 45 minutes the batch comes out of the oven. Well, "unfortunately" for the sake of sandwiches and breakfast toast. But "fortunately" for the sake of many people's tastebuds when they're savoring what my daughter calls "hotfresh bread."
