Holy Week

The Easter baskets are filled and hidden away until Easter. Easter eggs are dyed - we did that yesterday. This year Dominic was an expert at dying blue-green eggs. He was also very good at dying his fingers. Through the rest of the day they were his "scary hands". Evelyn colored her eggs pink, yellow and orange. Those are hers in the picture. Last night was Maundy Thursday. The White Church had their service at eight o'clock. Dominic was especially interested in the service this year. He chanted along when Daddy chanted the Lord's Prayer. He had the melody right - he's such an auditory learner. At the end of the service the altar was stripped, to Dominic's great displeasure. The people sitting around us were treated to a litany of "oh, no" ending with "now it's not beau-ful any more!". Tonight we're going to Good Friday service at 7:30.
