In Anticipation Of The Age To Come
"The older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not give to much wine, teachers of good things - that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the work of God may not be blasphemed." Titus 2:3-5 We look to those who have gone before us in the faith, even those directly before us in this present age, to be wise examples for us to follow after - living examples of faithful women. (Older women, forget not how important you are to us young ones!) We live holy lives not for moral obedience and goodness or to force entrance to heaven rather we live holy lives in anticipation of the age to come. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works." Titus 2:11-14
