Is he a Bishop now?

Evelyn wanted to light a candle for Father George at Vespers. "But is he a Bishop now?", she asked, confused as to what to call him. "No, Father George is still Father George."

Evelyn has been quite sad about Father George's falling asleep. She doesn't like anyone to say that he's "died" - she only breaks into tears again. She was sad for Kh. Charlotte too, because she doesn't have Father George with her anymore. What a compassionate heart! During Vespers she made a little drawing for Khourieh and gave it to her after service was over.

Sunday we had Liturgy as usual except we were glad to have Father Nabil from Indianapolis with us. He gave a great sermon on faith and the nature and meaning of a Christian "funeral". It was very good for us to hear, especially for our children.

Today we'll be going to the Trisagion Prayers and the beginning of the Vigil at 4:00pm. Divine Liturgy and Funeral service will begin at 9:30am at St. John Chrysostom Church on Tuesday, August 23, the Leave-taking of the Dormition of the Theotokos. Burial will be at Dormition Monastery in Rives Junction, MI.

Memory Eternal. It is good for your family to grieve as you are. and HDM has a very beautiful cemetery and chapel.
