Skipping Stones
It was a nice day to go down to the dam and skip stones. The weather was nice - cloudy blue skies, sun glinting off the water, and a cool breeze. There were lots of little things to discover along the river.
We found a plant fossil in the shale along the bank of the river while looking for stones to skip!

Heave ho! Dominic tosses a rock into the river.
Dominic lines up his shot just before he plunks another rock into the river. Somehow all the splashing didn't seem to deter the fish from biting.
A fisher waded out right where we we skipping stones and cast his line. In no time at all he had caught a large catfish and tossed it back.
He wasn't the only one fishing though - we ended up having to fish Dominic out of the river because he fell into the shallows. We came back home with a girl with soaking wet sandals and, plain and simply, a soaking wet boy. I guess they had fun!
