Apartment & Home Sweet Home

Well, we are making some progress in moving out of our apartment. We got all our things packed up into a moving truck with the help of some very nice people from our parish. Our priest even came over and helped load things into the truck before he had to leave to get to church in time for Vespers! The next weekend we spent a lot of time cleaning the apartment and painting the walls white again. It was a lot of work but it feels good that it's all done. The only thing left to do is the final inspection and hand over the keys this Friday.

We also have some progress on finding a home... After putting offers on two other homes and being out-bid by other buyers it was beginning to seem discouraging. There are a lot of people moving into the area where we wanted to move to and not many houses available to purchase. We found a nice home in an area a little further from where we were looking at originally but it's still in a very nice place. As a bonus to that particular area, Ben has some family that lives there and one of them teaches in the schools. We put an offer on that house and they accepted the offer!! We had the home inspection today and it went well. Barring any little hiccups along the way, we will have a home of our own!!!
