Sunflower Farm

A local family farm opened up their sunflower fields to the public. The admission was cheap and it came with a free sunflower. Evelyn and Leo and I went to see the sunflower field. It was an amazing sight! We got there in the early morning but there were already people enjoying the sunflowers and photographers doing photo-shoots with families. Evelyn and I both brought cameras and took a lot of pictures! Leo enjoyed the flowers too but the most fun he had was in the little playhouse that was set up near the field. He played in it for half an hour and cried tears when we had to leave! Besides our free sunflower we bought another two. We were given a bucket with water and a pair of clippers and we got to pick any of the sunflowers we wanted. Well, we had to admire the fields all over again in order to find the prettiest flowers to bring home with us! It was a fun thing to do before school started up again.
The farm is also going to have a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and corn maze this fall. We look forward to going back. It is so nice to see family farms open up to the public and I enjoy patronizing such ventures!
